From 139f8903d5fd075a172b7555d88ae0e616cdcb39 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Nur Fatima <150540933+fatima-n09@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Tue, 20 Oct 2026 03:36:57 +0500 Subject: [PATCH] fix(desktop): set window title to "Buzz" for Windows taskbar (#6317) MIME-Version: 1.0 Content-Type: text/plain; charset=UTF-8 Content-Transfer-Encoding: 8bit ## What The Tauri window title field in tauri.conf.json was an empty string. On Windows, the taskbar draws its label from the window caption, so the Buzz entry rendered as an icon with no name. ## How Set app.windows[0].title to "Buzz" in desktop/src-tauri/tauri.conf.json (line 19). This is the only change — one line in one file. The hiddenTitle: true field on line 26 only affects the macOS title bar and does not interfere with the Windows taskbar label. ## Before / After | | Before | After | |-----------------|--------------------|---------------| | Windows taskbar | Icon only, no text | Icon + "Buzz" | ## Testing - Verified the JSON is valid after the change - hiddenTitle: true is unchanged — macOS behavior is unaffected Fixes [#6295](https://github.com/block/buzz/issues/6295) Signed-off-by: Fatima Nur Co-authored-by: Fatima Nur --- desktop/src-tauri/tauri.conf.json | 2 +- 1 file changed, 1 insertion(+), 1 deletion(-) diff --git a/desktop/src-tauri/tauri.conf.json b/desktop/src-tauri/tauri.conf.json index 50c46ae6d7..b0e060f7c9 100644 --- a/desktop/src-tauri/tauri.conf.json +++ b/desktop/src-tauri/tauri.conf.json @@ -16,7 +16,7 @@ "app": { "windows": [ { - "title": "", + "title": "Buzz", "width": 900, "height": 650, "maximized": true,
